ANZ Cairns increase

Air New Zealanfd are incresing services and capacity to Cairns over the winter period, June 1 to October 8.

The flights will increase to 4x weekly.

On two of the flights it will use the bigger 223-seat Boeing 767 and on the other two the 152-seat Airbus A320, which is used in the off-peak season.

A big catch up

The BNE-DUD seasonal route  returned on Wednesday 31-March-2010 with the first rotation BNE-DUD-BNE operated by A320 ZK-OJN

Airbus A320 ZK-OJC positioned AKL-CHC as NZ6713 on Saturday 3-April-2010

Sunday 04-April-2010 saw the start of the standardisation on the AKL-BNE-AKL NZ135/136 route with the flight being operated now by all B772ER equipment.

Airbus A320 ZK-OJA re-entered service after scheduled maintenance on Thursday 08-April-2010.  The same day as A320 ZK-OJI entered scheduled maintenance.

Friday 09-April-2010 saw the standardisation of NZ125/126 AKL-MEL-AKL to all B772ER equipment.

Wednesday 21-April-2010 saw Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 767-33A N583HA operate NZ107 AKL-SYD after completion of maintenance with ANZES in AKL

Thursday 22-April-2010 saw Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 767-3G5 N586HA operate NZ100 SYD-AKL in preparation to enter maintenance with ANZES in AKL.

Thursday 22-April-2010 also saw Boeing 747-419 ZK-NBT operate the afternoon AKL-MEL-AKL NZ125/126 rotation.

Monday  19-April-2010 saw VH-VUG operate out of Perth as DJ9001 returning to Perth as DJ9002 on Tuesday 20-April-2010

Monday 19-April-2010 saw Sunday 18-April-2010's QF131 MEL-AKL operated by ZK-ZQA arrive, over 12 hours late.

New Air New Zealand Codeshare

Air New Zealand and Continental Airlines have announced a new comprehensive codeshare agreement.

The agreement will see NZ codes added to over 500 CO flights, while CO codes will be added to NZ Pacific flights as well as all domestic and trans tasman flights operating from Auckland.
