Air New Zealand's BIG trans tasman changes

Air New Zealand plans to slash fares between Australia and New Zealand and move to a new way of selling seats on its new 171-seat trans-Tasman Airbus A320s.

Key changes

• axing business class into CHC and WLG (AKL business class will only be available on wide-body flights)
• fare discounts - to be revealed on April 29th
• airport waiting times cut to 45 mins by use of kiosks and streamlined check-in procedures
• new ticket options from a simple almost LCC type to a delux package

The new services will be introduced onto CHC routes from August and roll out on other parts of the network from late November.
